I always Bass fish in Carr DR, Neighborhood. You saying there's good bass fishing around the back side of the neighborhood?
============================
Absolutely, however I moved out of Slidell over 10 years ago so things may have changed since then.
I had good luck in the neighborhood ( dead end canals) during the early spring. Found they liked to bed in the sandy bottoms back there.
On the marsh side of Carr drive I caught bass in the main canal and also back in the marsh. Especially on a falling tide were the ponds were draining into the main canal. Found the bite was great during the summer at dawn/dusk. Mostly just working the grass line and drains / mouths of ponds. Also noticed that I always did better fishing the 'marsh' side of the main canal compared to fishing the docks.
My go to baits were a small buzz bait or a medium sized black and yellow beetle spin. If they didn't want either of those baits a dark colored ribbon tailed work worked weightless and slow usually did the trick.
