Thanks for clarifying. Thought that's what you meant but weren't sure.

It's a good point. A bit of it may be the way American fans tend toward clubs in the world's "Top 10" as far as money/prestige since that's what is mainly marketed here.

Chinese and Eastern European NBA fans may have been overjoyed to see the Heat make a "super team".


I wonder how actual German fans of other teams feel?

I've noticed that a lot Spanish fans seem the opposite of Italians insofar as the hatred they have for players who leave their teams for the "Big 3" and also vehemently pulling for any of those big 3 to always lose in Europe, no matter who they play.

Not sure how German fans are in this regard. Maybe they're just resigned to Bayern being the boss.
