there are still several schools that might be worth taking for various reasons.

of course that would require getting Texas to change their tune on having a conference title game.

main targets

BYU - if you can't get the Catholics the Mormons are the next best thing amirite?
Cincinnati - decent enough in bball and fball, helps WVU travel
UNLV - good basketball, athletic dept does pretty well makes good
UConn - good basketball, helps WVU travel issues
Boise State - like it or not they draw attention
East Carolina - ok football fanbase and in North Carolina


outside but very unlikely shot

Memphis - pretty much for bball
James Madison - purely to get into Virginia
New Mexico - only b/c its a large state flagship
Tulane - b/c Texas might want a NOLA pipeline
Houston - big school that has really started to sink cash into sports
