Exactly. Too often people just think about "plugging holes". Well we picked that OLB in the first round... problem solved! We're good this year!

That's just not the way it works. Some guys take years to develop, some don't. Some don't develop at all, some become All-Pros on their second team. It happens.

You really want to upgrade one thing in the draft: TALENT. Who will still be there in a few years contributing? How long is the learning curve? What is the ceiling and floor?

I agree with all of that, HOWEVER, like chad said we have ha 3 different coordinators. Also, I don't think any of those guys was expected to be a difference maker. Ellis maybe, and he was just a bust. Jenkins was supposedly best corner available. Robinson was bottom of round one so they thought they were getting bpa. Jordan will be good I think.

IMO, guys like star, jones, Mingo, etc can be true difference makers
