Why isn't Kobe on the bench in San Antonio supporting his team?

He's not in a coma and isn't deathly ill, it's an Achilles injury. Kevin Ware snapped his leg in half and supported his team in ATL.
If he has time to live tweet, he's obviously not rehabbing right this second.
Would MJ do this? LeBron? seems trashy

I don't really give a shite if he's there or not but that's a shitty excuse. He doesn't have to walk to SA, he uses his crutches/wheelchair to get to his car where he is driven to the airport, ditto to his 1st class seat, ditto to the arena, ditto to his seat. All in all probably 2-3 football fields of getting pushed in a wheel chair at the very worst.
I guess the problem would be his ego at being in a wheelchair.
