Random thoughts on the game last night

Hopefully Eades isn't falling into that lull he fell into late last season, if he is, we are in trouble.
Andrew Stevenson doesn't need to hit, he only needs to come in in the 8th or 9th as a defensive sub.
What happened to Raph? He could still find it, but he's just not the same as last year.
Bregman, there really is nothing else to say about how awesome this kid is.
Ibarra has been so consistent for us. No long slumps or crazy hot streaks. Awesome.
The left fielder for Bama must be on roids. Not only does he look the part, but his emotions show on the field and will eventually get him in trouble. The dude in one game, hit an RBI single in his first at bat and acted like he won the game with his yelling, jumping, and fist pumping; punched the left field wall after Ross' homer, barked and threw fits every time his disagreed whether a pitch was a ball or strike, bashed his helmet on the ground after running to 1st, and was yelling and fist pumping after a hit late in the game.

You expected him to hit .500 for most of the year again?

Tyler Moore needs to be in the lineup. Is he in PM's doghouse for some reason?

Another point I forgot, seems like the dude should be DH'ing, don't know why PM hates him

How about the bama 3rd baseman after the jacoby dp? Could swear he won a free kfc meal.

No, but I would like him to be able to hit .350. I realize thats high expectations, but he's capable of that.

RR is hitting .336 with an on base average of .416.

100% agree. He's experienced and has proven himself time and again in clutch situations. The only thing I could think is he's in the doghouse.

I'm not hitting the panic button on Eades just yet. This wasn't like last season where his location was everywhere. He was locating pitches fine last night. Bama was hitting well. As you saw, it wasn't just Eades who got lit up. Cotton got hit pretty good too. I will attribute that to Bama hitting well last night. If Eades does the same next week, obviously it will be time to hit the panic button.
I don't think anyone can truly expect Raph to repeat what he did last season. With that being said, he is still hitting over .300 and that is respectable.
I think a lot should be said about Fury and McCune's performances last night. 6 IP between them 3 hits 0 runs scored. That is stout by both of them.

That was very encouraging. I didn't have very high hopes for McCune's comeback but he looks to be getting stronger with each outing.
Fury was a beast. Bama would get some momentum and he would slam the door. Last night was a big step forward for him

It was a good time to get the bullpen significant meaningful innings. They passed with flying colors. Eades will be fine.

Yeah, obviously Fury was on. Hopefully McCune can continue being that guy. I felt like Cotton, while he wasn't on his game, just got unlucky. The homer was a good pitch, and the runner got on because of an error before that. And I guess to an extent, Eades was a little unlucky there as well. That first run was on a pretty lucky hit.

One bad start isn't an issue. Two in a row might be.
8 ip, 16 h, 10 r, 3 bb, 8 so
Not encouraging numbers...

We need Eades to be great, but let's not panic yet. He just needs to get a little more bite on his off speed pitches. They almost never swung and missed at the off speed pitches last night.

Yea it was lol. Fury looked really solid last night. Huge step forward for him last night. It would be huge if we could count on him for some meaningful innings moving forward. It would just be another arm for us to go to. If only we could get LeMarche to step up.

it is alarming, but this is the opposite of last season. Last season he was wore down and his location was bad towards the end of the season.
