Rutgers, under the direction of President Robert Barchi and Interim Athletic Director Carl Kirschner, has been reviewing videos of practices in all sports since men's basketball coach Mike Rice was fired this month

Woo-hoo!! Liberals win!! No more crazy coaches correcting the players. Nothing but pats on the back, everybody gets ice cream after practice.

Physical abuse has an argument for being out of line, although Rutgers was borderline.

With that said, verbal abuse is proof that kids today are soft as frick. the shite i had told to me in high school by coaches was unreal

and it made me a better man today

He lives in the north, duh!

All kidding aside, this is pretty fricking ridiculous, though. Having played team sports my whole life, I can't think of one coach I had that would survive under such rigid surveillance. And I never approached a professional or semi-professional level.
