How about this for why I know it's not a choice. I am gay. And I have known that since I was very young even though I tried to live a straight life for years. I was born gay dude. Back down and don't tell me otherwise. It's insulting.
I did not mean to insult you. But just because you were born gay, does not mean all other gay people were born gay. Believe me or not, my cousin is a lesbian and she did tell me that it was a choice. It is an insult to her to deny that she chose to be gay and was not born gay. Why does it matter if you were born gay, or chose to be gay? Is it frounded upon if you chose to be gay and were not born gay? Does it make you any less of a person if you made that choice and were not born with it? That is insulting.

Do you not get that the basis of most people's anti-gay remarks are because it's a choice and we shouldn't be treated "special" for making a choice. It's ignorant to "oppose" a lifestyle that someone is born with and has no control over.
