You've tried to explain its advantages, I just don't see them all as advantageous, and the few advantages that bitcoins do have aren't EVEN REMOTELY worth the hassle of dealing with the cumbersome currency or its RIDICULOUS volatility.

I also dismiss it because: I don't trust the entity behind the currency. I cannot use bitcoin to buy groceries, order a pizza, pay my utility bills, or put gas in my car. I don't trust the majority of bitcoin users. There is no way bitcoin can benefit me WHATSOEVER. Just like Facebook credits, W.O.W. Gold, or even Unicorn Farts.
