For Fab Five, no. One of those years was a ridiculous Calbert Cheaney Indiana squad that went like 17-1. I don't know about the '89 team, but I think Kendall Gill's Illinois team was the conference champeen.

That sounds about right. I was 3 in 89 so I dont remember.

It is amazing that a team could go to the championship game 4 times with out winning their conference.
