Jumped some in BCNWR this fall. They tend to hang out in thick cover during the day, cutover with lots of vines, etc. I also see them at mother in laws at dusk flying out of the woods to the agricultural fields.
I've got several spots where they are in hunt able numbers, but a dog would sure be nice.
