I wouldn't put it past Payton to bring him into camp

I'd rather him than any backup we are going to sign.

Don't laugh. I would love it if they brought him in. He needs to sit behind a great mentor anyway. And really who cares who our backup QB is? If Drew goes down does anyone honestly think we have a chance at winning anything? If JR sat behind Brees for a few years, was coached by Payton, and stayed fit, he would be a viable option for the future.

Brett Favre had a lot more to him compared to Jamarcus just being able to throw the ball over a mountain. Not the smartest guy, but threw fast and on point with accuracy. Favre's downfall is the fact that he'd try to force plays.. Can't say the same for Jamarcus. Comparing the two is ridiculous.

I obviously don't think JR is Brett Favre. just saying he wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box.

It is a camp body. Work him out then cut him or keep him

Not sure what year it was, but it was in the Swamp, the game where I think we started off the second half with a safety. LSU had a lot of opportunities to get back in to it, but JR couldn't stop forcing it. That's when I started to notice he wasn't exactly football smart. Just living on talent.

And his NFL comp. percentage is 52%. Do you think Jamarcus is a good quarterback? Although he had good years at LSU, no way would I have taken the guy with the 1st pick. I saw a guy with a strong arm, but with absolutely shitty work ethic and really bad under pressure. Talent, strength and athleticism? Absolutely. Football smarts, ability to perform under pressure and a good work ethic? No way.

And honestly I hope he changes my opinion of him.

Playing behind an absolutely shite OL and with shite WRs in OAKLAND! That should not be the reason *not* to look at the guy.

No, but there are other reasons listed why I wouldn't want him.

Are talking about when he was at Lsu and was a fantastic college qb? Or are you a Raiders fan?
