No Respect for Les Miles

it just baffles me that not many people nationally respect Les Miles. Coach has done nothing but win. He hasn't had the decorations in the trophy case like Saban but last I checked the measure of a coach isn't just championships but the way he impresses on his players. And in that category, there is not better Coach than Miles. I'm not saying he's the best coach in the country but you can't tell me he ins't one of the Top 5 or Top 10 coaches in the country...
Opponents: Fear Les
Tiger Fans: Love Les, Win More

This is pretty germans (the poll), but I did notice a lot of local journalists up in arms about this on twitter this afternoon.

I spoke with a few Clemson fan last month on my bach party and they wanted to know why LSU fans hated Les so much. In their circle of friends and fans and everyone they spoke with other than LSU fans thought Les was one of the best coaches in the nation.
Just cause ESPN and national writers don't respect him doesn't mean other fanbases and just fans in general don't see how good he is

There is nothing that can be said positive about Richt that can't be said for Les Miles. The reverse doesn't hold the same.
Sumlin being ahed of Les is a jokes, as is Franklin and Mullen.

I think Miles is more than goofy but it's hard to argue with success. He doesn't win a lot of style points.
FWIW...Les 87-19, Richt 74-30 since 2005.
Richt has the same advantages in facilities, fan base, $$, recruiting base, etc. Oh yeah, 6-7 three years ago.

Even the guy in the article says that he wouldn't put Miles in the top 3 in the SEC. Unreal since I would imagine that he might have Spurrier and Richt above? Neither of which have the winning % of Miles since he has been at LSU and Richt can't win the SEC for the life of him.
I LOL at the Athlon ranking. They put Franklin up there since Athlon is based in Nashville. Mullen is just hysterical to be ahead. Can't recall the rest of the list right now but it was very comical.
Les wins games. Has a MNC, 2 SEC Titles, and 3 SEC West Titles.
Give me a break #7. Most of the coaches in their current jobs combine and don't have those numbers.
7/10 troll though from Athlon

Actually most folks that I know from other schools fear our talent, but, because of Les, think they have a chance.

Going by this this Miles should be no lower than #10. Some of the coaches he has above Miles are just plain "WTF".

Miles is certainly better than Mark Richt in my opinion and has gotten the better of Spurrier each time they've gone against each other. Has done okay against Saban as well until the last couple of games. I actually think he out coached Saban in last season's loss, but a loss is a loss.

There are no current coaches who have Saban's hardware. That's unfair just to compare Miles to him. Saban is the best in the business. I thought that 3-4 years ago and my feelings have been vindicated. Miles is still a damn good coach.

CLM will be blood thirsty this fall. As long as he stays out of the way and lets Cameron run the offense, we're going to surprise some folks this fall.
