but he wasn't a good representative of the university so good riddens to him
What the frick are you talking about? Have you ever taken a trip outside the bubble that is SE Louisiana??
Every single time I travel, and say that I went to LSU, if they are a sports fan, they say the 2011 team with Tyrann was the most exciting thing they have seen in sports in a long time. They never have harped on the negative side.
It's funny how you side with Jamarcus, when he was drafted, and literally fricked the Raiders out of millions, yet Tyrann was "selfish as @#$%" and you burn him at the stake for it. You don't think Jamarcus was a bit selfish when he was lazy?
I think you are applying a double standard when you are talking about Jamarcus and TM7s leadership. When TM7 was at LSU, he was a damn good leader. He led one of the best defensive cores that we've ever had at LSU... to say otherwise is just ignorant. I hate using the cliche term, but that D had so much swag because of the way that he led things.
I hate that people on this fricking board persecute and judge someone that made mistakes in his young adult life. None of you know what pressures he was under. No one knows what he was facing, his mental state. No need to kick someone that has already fallen. Support him like his teammates have, like the coaches have, like the athletic department has.
I'm assuming that you say Patrick Peterson is one of our best ambassadors for LSU right? Well, why can't we follow his lead. He has picked TM7 up out of his darkest times. If you can't forgive him for his past actions, than you are weaker than most of our team and coaching staff and whoever else.
Keep your head up TM7, once a Tiger, always a Tiger, no matter what.

not a tiger
Here is the deal: Tyrann is as polarizing as they come. Some LSU fans will forever remember the plays he made that made him not only great, but special. Some LSU fans will only feel a sense of betrayal that he made some very selfish and personal choices that kept him from finishing out his career at LSU. The truth is that the same people that won't forgive him are not simply pissed at the personal choice, but they are pissed and feel robbed of an entire year of a special player that not only made plays that were spectacular, but brought a personality, a tenacity, and a flair to the LSU brand. Truth be told, at his height Tyrann wasn't just an LSU football player. He was you, he was me, and he was everything that made 2011 one of the greatest years in LSU history. We were all awaiting his return to avenge Alabama. You know it, I know it. If he plays last year, we don't lose a game. AND THAT IS THE REAL PROBLEM our fan base has with him.
As for me? I fall in the middle. I remember his greatness, and I remember that he let LSU down. Do I believe that he is over the honey badger persona, and the other issues? No.
However my wish for him, is to go out, represent LSU well, and allow us to see that thing that makes him special. Is Tyrann an LSU Tiger? Go put the film on. Your god damned right he is.
As for me and you? Lets cheer for a kid to stay on a positive path to success, and lets wait for a 2013 season that will prove everyone wrong.
