Maybe in playing time, but Newton was highly recruited with many offers, a physical freak, and played QB.

Yeah, but those metrics aren't fair to compare TM and Cam. Look at physical play and both are on level playing fields. Look at competitive nature, look at drive, look at the intensity, look at the intangibles.

I mean, I understand your point that he doesn't play QB, he isn't a physical freak in terms of his body, wasn't high recruited... because of his size. But he has as many athletic traits as Cam. Don't even try to argue that

TM7 has ball instincts that are off the chart. Les Miles has called him "the great" tyran mathieu. Deion Sanders openly endorses TM7.

He has the potential to not just be good, but to be a franchise player. I wish him the best, and he will always be known as playing his college ball at LSU.

Maybe so, but size is pretty damn important. It's not like you get a handicap for being short in the SEC or NFL. Plenty of people get scholarships or signed based on physical characteristics.

I'm just saying overall, the TM story is pretty amazing. 3 years ago he was an unheralded HS kid with 1 BCS offer, probably expecting to red shirt his freshman year, and doesn't play a glamorous position. He started one year of college ball, didn't play the previous season and the guy gets so much media attention and has been featured on the cover of arguably the two biggest sports mags in the country.
