yep

Alex Smith with the complete game to salvage one of the four games in a series with Georgia State, 3-2

this after he got a no decision against Southern Miss despite 7 shutout innings in a 2-1 10 inning loss

i'm thinking LSU sees him at the Box on May 14th... he's been a bright light in a disappointing season for Owl baseball fans

After the series this wekend, Georgia State no longer has the best offense in the country. Great job by the Privateers pitching staff.

I don't know who Georgia St. has played, but I have no clue how they've put up the offensive numbers they have this year. No disrespect to Smith, he's been good all year, but GSU had trouble hitting everyone this weekend.

all 4 games of the series were decided by 1 run...

GA State has played mostly crap, so 6-31 UNO fits right in

What year did Chalmette make it to the baseball semifinals and got destroyed by Parkview while committing about 7 errors?

That fat boy who threw that night for Chalmette said something leading up to the game like "I'm gonna go out there and shut out Parkview then (the next guy) was going to do the same and we'll win state." Parkview put that all over their locker room.

During the game he tried to make a pickoff throw to 2nd and ended up throwing the ball about halfway between 2nd and 1st into right field. Good times.

the fat one was JD, who threw consecutive 1-0 shutouts at Crowley and Benton to get us there... the next one i believe would have been SE, who was the quarterback on the badass football team we had at that time too

i thought we had a better team the year before that, with CD and RC, who eventually played at Southeastern. we beat Newman's all-state pitcher who went to Stanford twice and won district. Turnage was the coach and i think now he's the pitching coach at Loyola after a stint at Belle Chasse
