The state and perception of Professional Golf after the Masters

I use to be a pretty big proponent of golf being the greatest sport on earth. I use to consider the integrity, prestige, and history incomparable. After some events, my opinion is slowly changing.
1. Padraig being put on the clock against Tiger in the Bridgestone.
2. Dustin Johnson losing a major due to a stupid ruling.
3. 14 year old getting a penalty for slow play.
4. The entire Tiger debacle this week (regardless of whose side your own, it's clear the rules officials royally screwed this one up).
Professional golf is becoming a sham. It's a shame that Jason Day is putting on a clinic and everyone I know is talking about rules' officials. The PGA needs to act quickly to resolve these issues. Are these tournaments about protecting a legacy or determining the best golfer over 4 days?

If the rules being enforced bothers you that much, golf isn't for you anyway.

I assume you want him to get a participation trophy too? If you aren't ready for adulthood, then just stay in your grade school team.
