To be fair, he states that they're just rumors and it may or may not be valid, just saying that if it comes to fruition it can hurt the industry.

A lot of the things you stated are why I play PC games now though. Most games that come out are 4-5 Hour single player games that are $60 dollars. It takes all of a month for them to go on sale, and many of them end up half price or cheaper by the end of their first year. If I was primarily a console gamer, I would have a gamefly account no doubt.

The other thing that the video didn't even touch on (maybe briefly with DLC), is that games have also been largely ruined by patching. It's commonplace to release a game unfinished and patch it to a decent place months later.

You have to think about when he recorded for that video. It was probably before all of that came out. Considering he quoted an interview, I'd think if the others had come out before he put the video together, he would have used them as well.
