Yeah, there's the occasional game that is truly worth the purchase like Bioshock: Infinite, but you have to wade through a lot of shite to find it.

I thought his best point was how DLC used to be looked down upon, granted for a short period of time, and now it's become the norm, and now there's season passes where you can get 4 DLC's for the price of 3.

What's really happened is that we've become desensitized to what is really a bad business practice that is fricking the industry. We used to get entire expansion packs with extra campaigns and a ton of new maps for $30, and now we get 2 or 3 maps for $15.

The end of the video is garbage though, I'm pretty sure both Sony and Microsoft squashed the no used games thing already.

But the points about DLC and Online Passes are valid, they're killing the industry and nothing more than money grabs. I refuse to buy an Online Pass for games, probably the only reason I still play CoD.

I use Gamefly for almost every single game, refuse to pay $60 for a game for the last 2+ years, might have bought 2 games total, both I sold on eBay not long after. Games aren't worth $60 anymore, ontop of them being shitty, and lacking in content that they want you to buy for $10-$15 more EACH. Ridiculous, can go frick themselves before I do that.

I'll rent it, beat the single player, and send it back without ever even considering any DLC or Online Pass purchase.

I can only imagine my frustration if I had sepnt $60 on games like AC3, Far Cry 3, Hitman, etc. Breezed through the single player and back to Gamefly they went, nothing more to them and sure as hell not worth $60 or additional money for DLC and an Online Pass.
