Is the video game industry crashing?

I happened to stumble upon this video last night, and I thought it was very well put together and thought some of you might enjoy it. Looks like it came out about a month ago.
LINK
It's fairly long at about 30 minutes, but it's well worth the time if you're interested in gaming.
It goes over the video game crash of the 80's and why it happened and how it was recovered. It talks about the present and future and if we are headed back in that direction.
The video is pretty damning of EA. Everyone's pretty burned out on that topic but it's still a good video.

Not a bad video, some good points.
Lolz @ EA.
I agree with the guy though, developers are either getting lazy or are out of idea's so just pump out sequel after sequel.
Doesn't seem like there is shite for new IP's.
They also predict EA to be out of business within 5-10 years, about right.

The industry is in a pretty bad state, but the video is a little misleading and not entirely correct. Thankfully, the US =/= the world and the growth in smaller markets has really helped all 3 big companies.
