Crash Test Dummies released "God Shuffled His Feet" 20 years ago. This album produced the song everyone is familiar with "mmmm mmm mmm". The thing is that there were at least 4 other great songs on that album that were criminally overlooked. GSHF is arguable one of the most underrated albums of the 90s.

This board is slow during the weekday, I don't think you are gonna see too much action with this thread tonight.

I remember listening to that album on the way to the Jazz Fest one year. All my friends made fun of me, so I turned it up...LOUD.

Spot on. Hugely Underrated. "Afternoons & Coffeespoons" should've been their first single which I think could've changed the whole trajectory of the band. If they want to release a "concept" song on the pop public, I think "In the Days of the Caveman" also would've been a better one to release than Hmmm. Hmmm is a great song but pegged the band unfortunately.

A band that knew how to construct a great song, layer on the harmonies and not take itself too seriously. That album was great fun at a great time in my life.

It was a good album but I personally preferred (and pretty much everything you said applies here):

Was it rated 0.5 or 0.75? That is criminal.

This. Possibly the most underappriciated album ever. If one judges the band based upon Mmmmm(which I actually don't hate) they are really missing out.
