ok so we have an improved team but shitty center play for a year
I kind of think Evans is a long play on moving Gordon which is going to lather up the masses while it works itself out. Maybe he works out at SF but he's better suited to replace Gordon once Gordon's value increases. You can keep Gordon's minutes down and efficiency up without looking suspicious and you also make it to where Gordon seems like a luxury to you and you want to trade him rather than you have to trade him. I just can't believe Demps' long term plan is to have a $40 million backcourt.

i'd imagine to legitimately compete, we'll have to have a salary in the $65-70M range eventually
with a max for davis and some exception signings, that's possible. it just takes time. we'd have a relatively balanced salary-positional breakdown (esp if evans does play some 3)
that'd be like $30M at the 4/5 and $40M at the 1/2/3

Unless they start officiating games like they did pre-shaq, it probably is a good move putting your $ in back court and at SF and just have your frontcourt be serviceable on offense and protect the goal. I bet okc wishes they had it to do over and held on to harden and let ibaka go.
