Jay Jacobs has a job and Tim Pernetti doesn't. What am I missing?

Jacobs has allowed cheaters, drug users and coaches who have paid players (allegedly) to remain at Auburn without consequence.
You have a guy in Pernetti who helped Rutgers move to the Big 10 after the downfall of the Big East, makes a minor mistake is not being aggressive enough with a hot-headed coach who throws basketballs at players' heads.
Drugs, academic scandal, paying players = good
Suspended a guy instead of firing him = bad
What the hell is wrong with this country?

You mean other than people believing everything they're told?
For what it's worth, i don't get the use of two examples and then a "whats wrong with this country' thing. Seems like a throw away line.

"Morality of the moment"
There wasn't a single piece of evidence for people to latch onto with Auburn. That is not the case for Rutgers.

jay jacobs being a terd doesnt excuse Pernetti from not doing his job. He needed to get the ax.

can I get some mothafrickin links around here with proof to any statements other than the drug use (which happens everywhere)
ETA I want JJ gone as much as the next Auburn fan but if you're retarded enough to believe everything that's put on the Internet then you should be spayed or neutered

Jacobs didn't allow his coaches to assault the student athletes like Pernetti
That's much worse than norm of changing grades, $100 handshakes and synthetic weed
But I thought this was all ESPN's fault?

all your defenses for your position are ad hominem attacks. So I'm forced to believe you have no real facts, but rather are just grasping for straws after such an eloquent opening post.

Yup
Pretty fricked up world we live in today when rampant drug use, academic scandal and paying players is morally accepted and praised compared to "coaching players too hard"

I guess you've been "mentally" living in a cave the past week as to not accept what is really going down with your shitty program

I read them. But unlike you I also read the rebukes...including from the individuals quoted.
So gold silver or linen, i don't care what you think of it, because you've yet to open yourself up to critical thinking. Looking back to your first post that could be what's wrong with the world if you're determined to use to examples to extrapolate into a global issue. Or again, it coudl just be a throw away line.

I guess it has to do with winning too. Rutgers isn't exactly a basketball powerhouse.
Notre Dame was on the rise and eventually made the title game this year.
Auburn won the BCS title. I guess that gives you a 5-year grace period to do whatever the hell you want and get away with it.
