Don't ask me why, but

since youtube is weird I randomly found myself watching some clip from the Ellen DeGeneres show and then I watched a few more. Seriously, this chick seems super cool. I'm not going to turn into a viewer,
, but she seems to always be doing these awesome things for guests and people in tough situations on her show. Just seems like a genuinely good person.
It's 3 in the morning, so sue me if this topic sucks. But most celebs seem like douchebags and I was surprised to see that she appears to be really down to earth and overall a really cool person.

She seems to be a likeable person. Some of my frat brothers knew her brother, when he was the more famous one. FWIW, I always heard the name pronounced as DEE-ja-NER-es until her career took off.

Yeah, she's cool. Her show is geared toward the "Stay at home mom" demo, so good for her.

I'm probably the last one who should give advice on starting threads on the movie/tv board.
But-- your subject line could benefit from being a tad more descriptive.
And yeah, from the little I've seen of her, Ellen seems pretty cool.

She seems really apathetic about the show IMO.
She doesn't get very excited or at least show some any sort of emotion when doing something good for someone else. This just makes it seem like it is not her doing these good deeds, but the show instead.
She also seems like she is hurrying through things and never really laughs/engages at most of the skits or people who come on her show.

I disagree with that. She seems just like a pretty laid back chick, but in the times I've seen her show (or clips) she's come off as very giving and seems to love giving shite to people or making them happy.
Also, to the OP...why say you won't become a viewer? There's nothing wrong with watching Ellen. If I was home when it came on, I'd at least check out segments with actors/celebrities I'd like to see.
Also, I've always kinda had a thing for Ellen. Seems like she'd be super fun in bed (even though she wouldn't want to bang me

Not being home has a lot to do with it, but I don't watch much TV anymore. The most recent show I've watched was starting Supernatural on Netflix a while back. I'm just not into TV as much as I used to be, and tend to stick to older stuff.

Meh, I went to law school with one of her distant cousins - I've always heard it pronounced the way Ellen does now, stress on the second syllable.
