So yea there has been disappointment this season I can sympathize with people that think Monty and Dell are doing poorly when it comes to rotations, offensive and defensive sets, etc because losing is never fun...but hey sometimes we need a little optimism

LINK

this is a yahoo article that talks about the way that Monty and Dell have handled this season, in regards to players attitudes, player development, etc. It kind of throws Eric Gordon under the bus but he mentions the EG situation to commend the way the players have handled it

hey it doesnt change the fact that we are 26-48 but its a little optimism on a rainy day

What kind of season did you expect us to have? We are a small market team that have trouble attracting big name free agents. It's going to take time to build this team into a winner and the only way we'll be able to achieve longterm growth is via the draft. One or two more good drafts and this team will be a decent playoff contender.

I don't really want Monty gone.

Real question though...
How long do NBA coaches stay with a team if the team isn't winning? They seem to be quick on pulling the trigger on NBA coaches. Regarless of talent or circumstances.

. And if Monty Williams' plan comes to fruition, then fans will soon respect the Hornets coach as much as his players already do.
on this board highly unlikely

He's an alter created to beg everyone to name him best new poster. As he is no longer eligible, the alter has run its course.

not everyone hits kevin durant, russell westbrook, and james harden in consecutive its not a proven formula

you know who has been in the lottery every year since 2004 (except 2010 when they traded their pick)? the Bobcats most teams dont hit in the draft

you need a couple young guys, a couple of good free agents, maybe a trade etc...Im not for tanking at least this year

We already have a franchise player in Davis and we also have a few decent vets around him. I haven't given up on Rivers yet. I think in another year or two he'll be a solid player. I'm also high on Darius Miller over the next few years as a good bench player. If we can get another talented SF or PG this year via draft and free agency, this team will be competing for a 7 or 8 seed next year. We are really in need for someone who can create on the offensive end.

Good points, but those picks are still damn good assets. They could always trade one or two for talent.

Agree with all this.

Gordon needs to stay healthy and Lopez needs to be upgraded.

Despite shooting 44 percent on three-point attempts, Roger Mason has never complained that struggling rookie Austin Rivers got more playing time than he did. Lance Thomas has never complained that he doesn't play more despite defense being his strength, which is what Monty Williams preaches. And despite being second in the NBA in made three-pointers, Ryan Anderson apparently has no problem coming off the bench for the Hornets.

the first two are

...but props to Anderson on that.

Yeah Chris Paul, Marco Belinelli, and David West really respected Monty by wanting OUT of the organization.

New Orleans fans should be proud of the high-character Hornets representing their city.

I agree, and I am (except for Gordon)...but it's all about winning.
