Hypothetically 2001 Miami vs 2001 Tennessee on BCSNCG. Who would win?

after manhandling #2 Florida at the Swamp, UT clearly looked like the best team in the nation that week.

How is this even remotely a question? Tennessee lost at home to a 4 loss UGA team with a new coach and a freshman QB, then lost to an LSU team that wasn't elite. Miami could make a case (not saying they ARE, just that they could make a case) for being the 2nd best cfb team of all time.
Miami would rout.
Miami would rout.

2001 Miami is one of the greatest teams to play.
2001 UT lost two games and did not win its conference.
one of these is not like the other.

Miami was certainly more talented. However, UT was the 2nd best team that year. I think the game would be closer than many assume.
UT 16
Miami 28

They were 18 point underdogs at the swamp. The best SEC upset in conference history IMO. No one gave them a chance.

That was an absurd line. When is the number 4 team in the country ever a three touchdown underdog against a team that isn't undefeated?

UGA was a 20 point underdog to UF in 97, and we ended up winning by 20.

I still think D U wins by three TDs. They totally took there foot off the gas against Nebraska.
