GW got overly aggressive to the point of being predictable.

I think he knew what he had talent wise and did the best he could. An injured Vilma with Shanle and an aging Will Smith next to Turd Ellis isn't much to work with.

Spags was somewhat aggressive but it was a scheme predicated on read and react.

Spags just sucked. I don't think I liked anything the man did. Actually, I don't think he did much.

If there was an All Pro for a 3-4DE I think Jordan will be one.

Agreed. He's become a very solid player.

Galette & Tez Wilson being more that spot/role players is key also.

Galette did well when he got to play last year. I think the 3-4 fits them better, but I hope they aren't the Cie Grant of this defense where we are just waiting for them to find thier spot. Wilson has played every position for us besides CB & S at this point.

I'd throw in PRob as well. He was drafted cuz of his proficiency in press/man style of play.

Agreed to a certain extent. He has the talent, he just needs to get better ball skills.

Also think that RR will make best use of Harper's skill set similarly as GW did.

I'm hoping Harper, IAQ and Jenkins all see a better year this year. Jenkins has skills and hustles, I'm just not sure what the problem was last year.

I questioned some of his personnel moves highly as well. We know Loomis isn't a talent evaluator primarily. I think they get and use players that the coaches make the calls on. Like-

Why the hell was Corey white thrown into the fire so mercilessly? Elbert mack was cut at the end of camp. He was later brought back and proved to be a passable (is that a saints D pun?) slot guy. Mack at the season's start might have turned some of the 0-4 start around.

Barrett Ruud- they gave up a 7th Rd pick and by my memory never even gave him any substantial shot at any reps. Then he went on to Houston and played regularly in Cushing's place after he was injured.

Hicks/Ellis- I wanted Fatass out early but there was absolutely no reason for him to get one more rep after playoff elimination. Hicks has some skills that more reps would have honed for this year.

Wilson has played two postitions, OLB and DE...? WTF you talking about?
Wilson will be > than Galette in my opinion.
