A little known statistic about Raph Rhymes

At least, it was little known by me.
Rhymes is the only LSU player who has gotten on base in all 26 games this season.
Katz & Ibarra have gotten on base in 25 of the 26 games played.

Very nice. A good bit of Katz's 'protection' this year has been traffic on the bases in front of him.

And now the jinx is on.

the kid knows how to play the game...my dad always used to tell me, "you can't score from the dugout."

I don't believe in jinxes.

Good hitters dont really need lineup protection, its a myth

They don't "need" it, but it certainly helps

Keep going further...
Including the last three games of 2012, Katz has now homered 13 times in 29 games

This stat is totally untrue. Katz has been on first multiple times in every game this year.

no it's not
Actually it is, there has never been any study that shows it exists.

I find it hard to believe that no one has ever compared the batting averages of the same player with and without certain other hitters in the lineup

Yeah, they have and there were no significant changes.

Gotcha. I misread your previous post.
