Just watched the vods of the finals. I was hoping for CLG to win, but wasn't expecting them to beat TSM, definitely not 3-0 them. TSM seemed too content to sit back a let the game progress while CLG kept pressing. Lustboy was probably the only player for TSM that stood out. Turtle dyrus and berg did not. CLG played their same style pretty much, taking risk and whatnot, just this time it seemed to always fall into place for them. The fights around baron could have gone either way, but CLG being ahead in the games because of the early game lead, gave them the advantage. Had the gold been even TSM could have won those fights.

Pick comp was also a big factor. Top naut had no where the same impact as top yasuo and zions gnar. Same for victor in the mid lane. I can understand them wanting to ban tristana, but 2lift is gonna be ok on any adc he plays, just less mobile. But that does really matter considering the peel he had.

Congrats to CLG and to hotshot because man you could tell this meant a lot to him. I excited to see what both CLG and TSM do for worlds. C9 too bc you know they gonna sweep the regionals.

That's typically how TSM has beaten CLG in the past. They just weather the storm because CLG's early-game is so strong. TSM would just draw out the game to get to mid- to late-game, and slowly cut into the gold lead. They would wait for CLG to make a mistake and punish them in team fights.

CLG just has too many playmakers. TSM basically just had to pick their poison. DL, Zion, and Pobelter can all carry. Even Aphro makes huge plays, thus the Alistar bans. This team has really come together at the end of the split. Their team fighting and DL's positioning have improved tremendously since last split. They've also learned how to finish off teams when they get their early-game lead, and they've even learned how to come from behind if they don't get off to a fast start (like games 1 and 2 against TIP in the semis). However, one problem I can see them running into is if Xmithie doesn't get his Gragas or Ekko, as those are basically the only two champs he has had much success with this split. CLG is getting hot at exactly the right time.
