Comfort comes with repetition
TSM has tried Bjerg on supp/tank mids for the last couple of years. If you aren't comfortable after THAT much repetition, then you abandon that strategy.
It's not like they JUST started doing this. They've been doing this off and on, and it's always more of a liability than an asset.
Bjerg is your talent, don't limit him by putting him on Karama and Lulu and counting on Sven and Hauntzer to carry.

Haha, nah, I'm still in my early 30's. It was the only open night everyone else on the team had in common.
Everyone is either married or parents. I'm neither
ETA: I will say this though, overweight, older or both, I've learned not to pre-judge some of those people out there. They are deceptively good when they look like they couldn't walk 10 feet without getting winded

I played out at Coconut beach all through and after college. Just started up again here last season. So I'm competent enough to avoid the "backyard volleyball" tier
We are currently Upper B

oh ok. yea I alternated between mid-b and lower BB depending on night/team. also played doubles . sand volleyball at the lowest levels is frustrating
see ya on the rift. don't drink too many margaritas

Yup. Fact is if they play nothing but comfort picks all summer they will get raped at worlds, just like every other season. The only way to improve is to get out of your comfort zone, just like most everything else in life.
Bjergsen has possibly the deepest champion pool in NA. Do you really think he is so limited and poor adapting that he should never pick an entire category of strong, meta mid laners?

I am not questioning Bjerg's ability to learn new champions, but when he plays non carry champions, the game outcomes are inconsistent. I can understand chalking it up to learning experience, but there's no denying that over the last several splits, there has seemingly been more bad than good that has come from him playing non carry roles. (Whether it's his performance personally or his team's inability to play around him).

It doesn't matter what I think. what matters is what actually happens on the rift and as mentioned above, TSM is seemingly worse off when Bjerg plays non carry champs.
Bjerg can play galio mid all day long, but if the rest of the team is incapable of picking up the carry slack, then what does it matter? If you need a tank/supportive champion role, give it to someone other than your best player.
At the end of the day, you aren't going to "out Korean" the Koreans, so find an alternate strategy and adapt accordingly.

He was a beast on Lulu and his tank vlad was drawing tons of bans before riot nerfed him. Idk why you're ignoring this unless you just can't see past the hate in your clg colored eyes

I'm a HUGE TSM fan
I like Bjergsen. He's one of my favorite players. I'm just trying to be objective from what I've seen over the course of several splits.
You can point out a couple of games where he played a "tank" role on a mid laner or if he played lulu a couple times, but you can't simply ignore the majority of other games where the team struggled when he wasn't on a carry.
Again, I don't know if it's his inability to pick up the champions properly (doubtful) or if the others simply can't pick up the carry slack. I'm guessing it's the ladder.
It'd be one thing if this was the first split they were trying this, but it isn't. More times than not, Bjerg on a non carry champion is a net negative for the team as a whole. Not because he's shitty, but because they don't have the talent to work around Bjerg not being a carry in the comps they run.
I feel like Parth and company aren't innovative in their strategies approaching comps and/or picks/bans.
Every team is unique. Find the strengths of your current players and adopt a strategy that maximizes those strengths. Otherwise, get new players if you want the team to adapt to a strategy set in stone instead of vice versa.

On a side note, I played Galio for the first time ever. shite is busted

Yesterday in a ranked game on draven I had
- a Janna with locket ardent sensor Mikaels and zekes
- a cho with stoneplate and locket for a 2k aoe shield
- a Rammus with a Knights vow
On my team. Probably the dumbest shite I've ever seen. I'm a bad adc at my Elo and I couldn't frick it up

I follow TSM because of Bjergsen, kid is a baller. I agree with everything you have said. He shouldn't be stuck in the tank/safe roles.
I watch a couple different streamers when I'm bored, but I like his a lot because when he streams, he talks a lot of his movement out and what he's expecting. I know some streamers do it, but it's pretty neat to watch how much detail he goes into.

They aren't. TSM has always just played the meta. It's Regi's philosophy.
They've stated they are using the regular season to try different things (but staying in meta). I have faith that they'll figure out what works best for them by playoffs and come out like gangbusters (again).
