I somewhat agree. For Drew to be successful he has to be able to move up into the pocket. That usually means your center and guards have to be good at working in tandem, which is the case for the Saints fortunately.

Another thing to factor in is the type of guard the Saints need. A guard that is quick on his feet is essential to the screen game. If we don't find someone about the same size and speed as Bushrod, we will be handicapped in utilizing a major facet of our offense.

Because Brees is a pocket passer and has to utilize his positioning to see downfield, a smaller/faster tackle is better at helping to encapsulate the outer edges of the pocket. If you can't you get maybe 2-3 seconds before the pocket collapses from the outside.

While I agree, Brees' mobility gives us the benefit that we don't need a high-dollar tackle; you can't just throw any old average Joe in that position.
