Since those FX chips have shtt IPC, higher frequency is what you want to shoot for.
All is fine @ 4.2, but 1-1.5yrs one of my spare rigs had an 8320/7950 then 8320/780 Lightning but the rigs really started to shine around 4.5. They just need that little bump to increase single core IPC which is important for gaming.
Like I said, 4.2 is fine, but just stating from experience.

I don't really know what to change in the BIOS to adjust voltage, it's offset by default and I can change that but I can't find a guide showing exactly what I need to change and what value to change it to.
