Urgent Message to All Louisiana NRA Members and Firearms Owners:

Dear Louisiana NRA Member:
The U.S. Senate is currently scheduled to vote on several anti-gun bills during the week of April 8. One, the so-called "universal background check" bill being pushed by Senator Chuck Schumer, would criminalize the private transfer of firearms between law-abiding citizens. This legislation would make it illegal for a family member to transfer a firearm to another family member without the federal government’s approval. According to a recent Department of Justice memo, the effectiveness of a universal background check system "depends on gun registration" -- which is illegal under federal law. In addition, no background check system will ever be truly "universal", as criminals do not submit to background checks.
Please contact Senator Landrieu and encourage her to oppose this anti-freedom legislation. Ask her to support real solutions that will reduce violent crime and keep our children safe -- fixing our broken mental health system; securing our schools; and prosecuting violent criminals.
Again, please email, tweet, facebook, write, and call Senator Landrieu today, and ask her to OPPOSE Sen. Schumer's so-called “universal background check” legislation, along with every other anti-gun proposal -- including Sen. Feinstein's proposed ban on commonly owned firearms and magazines. The future of our Second Amendment rights are at stake.
Contact Senator Landrieu at:
703 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

I put together an email by using the notice from the NRA's email. If any of you would like to use it as a forum letter to send to Sen. Landrieu, please copy & paste below.

Good Luck convincing her. She just voted "Nay" to uphold the 2nd amendment on 23MAR2013. My last correspondence with her was requesting she resign her office for violating her oath of office to defend the constitution. Still waiting on a reply ;)

Sent. Hopefully all of her zombie constituents are too busy being dead to ask her to vote for it.

Not sure if any of our messages or calls will change her mind. ALL POLITICIANS have their own agenda. They don't care about us as constituents. Only about what they can do for themselves. We all just happen to conform with most republican's agendas.
We need at least a few Democraps to feel like their jobs will be threatened in their next elections if they vote any of these gun control measures in. Hence why I said "The future of our Second Amendment rights are at stake as well as your future as a Senator representing this great state that holds dearly our rights as law-abiding firearms owners." in my original post.
Edit to add: Landrieu already sealed her fate with me when she voted for the UN agreement. Thank GOD it still didn't pass!

Thank you. Normally the strong silent type, but this nonsense is testing my patience.

I think I posted this earlier but calling or emailing that count is as futile as holding your breath. Look how much this state was against obamacare and that bitch had the gall to vote for it. If we reelect her again, the state deserves all the crap it gets.

Which is just another way to say don't bother doing the ONLY thing that you can do to sway her.
Even if it doesn't work, it's still required.
Do it.
