Jacoby went 0 for the weekend against a very weak auburn team. He's struggled all year, continuing his inconsistency from last year. At what point in time do you sit a guy for a game or two to let him clear his head and get a fresh start? I don't want to hear all of the garbage about him having better at bats, taking more walks, making solid contact, etc. At some point, he has to start getting some hits. I've always liked his potential, and his defense has been great. I hope he can break out of this slump, because he's got the tools to be really good. Ross's struggles have been discussed, but what do y'all think about Jones?

1. He has been having better AB's
2. He does need to start getting some hits.
3. He won't be benched.

Who've you got that's better to replace him?

Don't overlook the presence of JaCoby's glove in this lineup, either.

Katz too. He's underachieving defensively at 1B

you do know there's more to baseball than hitting, right?

it's like saying "Katz/Rhymes/Bregman committed 3 errors this weekend....time to see the bench??"

Too good defensively and he will come around. He is looking at more pitches this year and has had some pretty good at bats. Hopefully it will click, but you don't bench him just yet.

I can tell you have never coached baseball or have not followed baseball long enough.

Jacoby leads the team in stolen bases, has the 5th most rbi's on the team, grounded into the second to least double plays, leads the team in walks and has a pretty solid .974 fielding percentage for a second baseman.

Why does he have to sit a game or two in order to clear his head? Why can't he do it on his own time? And how does one "clear his head"? Is there some sort of button you push? Like "ctrl alt del"? Or does he have to sit in the middle of his living room at home in a yoga like position and meditate in order to "clear his head"? What does this mean? People make up the weirdest shite.

Why are hits more important than walks for you?

No. He's a stud. Hit a homerun yesterday that wind blew just foul. Let him work himself out. He'll be on another hot streak soon.
