F1 MALAYSIA Grand Prix [In Game]

I've stayed up for some reason to watch Sky Sports coverage of the race, lots of rain in Klia Pahang, wet track, ton of run offs the track during the warm up.
High temps, lots of moisture and wet spots could be a wild and wooly day of racing.

Oh dang they're going counter clockwise, NASCAR fans would lose their minds at a F1 race.

Little bit of touching on the first lap and damaged Alonzo'a wing, on lap 2 his wing broke off and exploded under the car.
rooster tails at 180mph are pretty badass btw.

15 laps in, track is basically dry now, track temp is cooler than expected allowing for the tires to last longer and not break down as quick. Drivers are really pushing the cars hard.

yep, I'm committed. Not a lot of F1 fans on the MSB to begin with.

Vettle takes the checkered flag. Red Bull finishes 1/2 and Mercedes 3/4. Teammates battled all race, it got funky on lap 46.

All this race did was leave questions becasue they stopped racing with 15 laps left. It looked like Rosberg could have caught Webber...
1. Why Alonso didn't come in was dumb. Massa showed the speed they will challenge for the next few races.
2. People will hate Seb now but I don't blame him.
3. Is Rosberg better than Hamilton? Will the Mercs actually challenge?
4. If it's hot in China will Lotus come back?

Malaysia and most F1 tracks go clockwise. It's NASCAR that goes counter-clockwise.

I'm an F1 fan but it doesn't occur to me to come to MSB while watching an F1 race.

Alonso was really a dumb-arse for not coming in when he had the chance.

Well the top 4 guys were supposed to stop racing and come in in a procession, but Vettel had other ideas. The sporting interests of the fans and the drivers are different from the teams, which always want to maximize points for both cars. On a team with a clear #1 like Ferrari it's not a problem, but on teams with supposedly equal drivers like Red Bull, McLaren, and Mercedes, this can create problems like what we just witnessed. Like most fans I prefer to see them all race to the end, but from a team perspective, Vettel doesn't own the car that he drives, and he doesn't pay his own salary—he needs to follow team orders. In the post-race interview Webber said that Vettel will be "protected as usual." Webber is pissed because they are supposed to be treated equally but they are not. If Red Bull doesn't suspend Vettel for the next race, then they are acknowledging that Vettel runs the team, not Chris Horner.
It's an interesting question if this race showed that Vettel and Rosberg are smoother drivers (easier on gas and tires) than Webber and Hamilton. We already know Vettel is a better driver than Webber, but the Rosberg vs. Hamilton battle has yet to play out. We already know Hamilton is hard on tires. Just like when he was with McLaren, I believe Hamilton has more outright speed than his teammate, but the teammate might do better over the course of the season with smoother driving.

I think this is the the last season we see Vettel/Webber Red Bull. What happened Sunday all but made it official. The question is which one is leaving?
Webber is on a 1 yr contract, so he could end up anywhere. Lotus with Kimi perhaps?
Rumors were going around last season about Vettel taking Massa's seat at Ferrari. I honestly can't see Vettel leaving RBR for anyone other than Ferrari.
Massa seems to have gotten back on track too...he's actually ahead of Alonso in the drivers standings, so there may not be any open seat at Ferrari.
