Difficult to stay motivated when you leave it all on the field during 2011 only to have the debacle and disappointment on 1/9. Not sure I could get up from that, I'd just be ready to move on to the next level.

The paragraph at the top of this thread is right on. We have removed huge ego's from the team and those that were bitter with Shep not getting PT! This defense is highly motivated, talented, and are led by the best d-coord. in college football! Our D-line has experience! We will see when we meet TCU, as they are a early 4 point favorite

And that's exactly why you would never make it to the next level.

The D was fine until the Bama loss when all hopes for a championship vanished - had nothing to do with 2011.

That attitude bit us in the bowl game.

Prob the biggest bullshite ive seen posted. You think ohio staye couldnt get up and play after losing to Uf and LSU? frick no. Did bama give up when they lost to uf in the seccg? frick no they went out there and won it next year.

Did the patriots give up when they lost the super bowl? frick no.

If thats the attitude a player has, he can carry his arse. Losing is part of the game.

Bull shite, true champions motivate themselves because they hate to lose so much that taking a play off or game off doesn't even cross their minds. Do you think MJ ever took a game off? After reading Sam's comments I understood why LSU lost games it should have won. Like the Bama game and the fricking bowl game. How often did they take plays off on practice?
