I may be able to shed some light on the A-Train subject. He and I went to the same high school together (I graduated a year before he did 1996). We were very good friends, in fact we've kept in touch off and on throughout the years. Coach Jones didn't really have much influence Anthony's decision not to attend LSU as previously mentioned. LSU did show some interest (they initially wanted him to play LB) but he was adamant he wanted to play RB at the next level. (Although he did the Kickoffs and played some LB during his time at High School) It really came down to the determining factor of he wanted to play in a style of offense that fit him and gave him the best chance of getting into the NFL, which was offense Coach Carr ran at Michigan.
