We're in the process of "cutting the cord" for cable so I'm looking at all of the options I have for watching sports still. I'm interested in the mlb.tv channel for Roku but I'm not really interested if the Rangers are going to blacked out on there all the time. Living in BR, does anybody know if the Rangers will be blacked out on mlb.tv and if so, is there any way I can get around that?

They used to be (two or three years ago), even though they were almost never on. I'd imagine they still are blacked out. I want to say it has to do with being within 500 miles, but I could be off base with that.

I got rid of it because the cubs were always blacked out due to WGN. It's a great idea if you are a royals fan

MLB.tv is awesome if you live outside of your favorite teams market, if you just love baseball and will watch any game, or for fantasy baseball purposes. My advice is to get a few friends together and split it.

Definitely blacked out in Baton Rouge. Astros and rangers both. It really sucks living in Memphis with the cardinals braves and reds all blacked out. The cardinals makes sense, but the braves AND the Reds? I think the cubs were blacked out last year. 130 bucks a year and I can't watch 3 of the best teams.
