In order to become a seller, gunbroker asked some very private questions to verify I am who I say I am.

But that doesnt do anything when "the seller" scats away with the money.... gunbroker will say "damn, well here is your 500 guarantee that we offer" and you are SOL

I am a new seller and only have a couple feedback comments so its hard to judge based off feedback when they are new sellers

I believe there are plenty of "good" new sellers on gunbroker without much feedback and I am sure that there are a lot more people up to no good...but if I was a buyer...I would roll the dice on a new buyer for anything more than the 500 protection offered by gunbroker

At the end of the day i guess there is no guarantee but gun broker appears to do a lot to protect buyers and sellers

Couldnt agree more...I havent heard a lot of nightmare stories for as many transactions that take place on that site since the madness started.

Again,
if it is a 500 dollar item...no worries.
if you buy a 1k item...500 protected 500 your risk
if you buy a 1.5k....well you know what I am saying....

Does anyone know if a seller was to do that, does gun broker seek action against that seller? Even though they only insure the buyer for up to $500
