How good is Alex Gordon?

He has hit 23 and 14 home runs the past two seasons as well... along with 96 doubles and 27 stolen bases within same time span.

What is earliest he should be drafted? Third round? Higher? Later?

Later. 5th round at the earliest... and I doubt I'd take him there. If he ever turns those doubles into homers, then it would be a different story.

Well, it depends on league size and settings, but I wouldn't draft him near the 3rd round. I like him a lot, but he has gone much later in my leagues so far.

He is in the upper tier of your "20/80" players. A nice complementary piece but not a guy you build a team around

I really like him, but I've found out from trying to trade him that no one else thinks of him as anything more than a mediocre player.

15 HR
85+ R
10+ SB
75 RBI
.800+ OPS

...is pretty valuable

He was suppose to be a perennial 30/100 guy coming out of college. Just never got there for whatever reason.
