has anybody else watched this? by far one of the most messed up movies there is out there. Its a documentary of a guy that claims he's a family's missing son and begins to live with them. very interesting, worth the watch

I watched it a few weeks ago. I thought it was really interesting and yes, a very screwed up story.

Yeah I watched it last week. Pretty crazy story, something was definitely fishy about that family though.

ImpostOr (what I thought this thread was about):

The ImpostEr (what this thread is actually about):

FWIW, I really liked Impostor (2001) with Gary Sinese. It's pretty good. Watching the trailer for the movie in this thread...is it actually a documentary?

Kinda found my answer on Wiki:
quote:

The film mixes real and played interviews, real and played tv images, and other reenacted drama sequences, where it is not always clear for the viewer what is real. It contains an interview with the real Frédéric Bourdin, and interviews with some real members of the American family.

I was wondering...because the trailer makes it look almost like an actual fictional movie. Looks interesting though.

Really good documentary. Emotions all over the place while watching it. The family is definitely shady as hell and the main guy s a pos.

The private investigator was awesome

Just watched this. Wow. What a messed up story is right. Can't help to not form an opinion on what happened to the boy... but I won't spoil the fun.
