MLB 13 The Show Difficulty

Is it just me or is the difficulty settings a little too lopsided. I mean that it's a great game and all but Varsity is too easy and All-Star is too hard. Varsity is not competitive at all, and All-Star is. But it seems like every game now is a pitchers duel. 1-0 or 2-1.

What settings do you use for pitching/hitting?
I play on Hall of Fame settings using Pulse Pitching and Pure Analog hitting, and i'm looking into bumping it up to Legend. What makes All-Star difficulty so hard for you?

Yea custom settings have been good for me. I like the meter pitching and the batters eye for hitting

I haven't really messed with the sliders. My biggest complaint from last year was the timing window for hitting was incredibly small. I think they've opened that timing window a bit too much and has made it too easy to hit this year.

I play All-Star and can't hit jack shite. I launch a bomb or two every game but I rarely break 3-4 runs.
I'm playing a franchise and Rivera has like 6 Saves in 7 games fwiw.

I have everything on All-Star, I can pitch very well but like CajunRevolution I can't hit for shite on All-Star and if I bump it down to Varsity it's too easy. However this the first time I've played the Show since like 2007

All star with no sliders works well for me.
Most games are in the 4-5 range, a couple of pitcher's duels here and there.
Only thing I'd say, they said they opened up the hitters timing window and that would allow for more of those 9-7 type games, but I'm really not seeing that. I've also only played maybe 5 exhibitions so far, so maybe I'll get better and see a few of those eventually.

That being said, have you guys messed with RTTS? That's pretty messed up.
While I'm averaging about 10 hits per game on all star in exhibition type games, All Star against AA pitching is wayyyyyyy too easy. Every other pitch is right down the plate.
In about 20 games, my AA hitter is hitting around .460, not becuase I'm so good, but the pitching is just so bad. But I know once I get to the majors, it'll even out. I may level up while in the minors, and go back to All STar when I hit the bigs.
