When Gasol came into the league he was a PF/C tweener with a developing offensive game. But he was a hustler and a good defensive player, much like Davis. Everybody points to the Spurs as our model. Well the Spurs had Robinson to show Duncan the way. It could be something similar with Davis and Gasol.

That was happenstance. Also, Timmy didn't need anything in the mental arena from the admiral.

yea but there are better/cheaper mentors that actually play center out there...Gasol is technically a PF a little to soft to be a C

Gasol is a very skilled player, but he has been called soft....He's not the guy I would want as Davis' mentor anyway.

In twelve seasons, Gasol has put up 10+ RPG three times...2+ BPG twice.

In fourteen seasons, Robinson put up 10+ RPG nine times...2+ BPG eleven times.
