I'm looking at some NBA mock drafts and all of them have Nerlens Noel in the top 5 and a few other Kentucky players (At least Cauley-Stein & Poythress) in the first round.

My question, has any great NBA player who ever played college basketball failed to make the NCAA tournament?

I looked at some guys and Steve Nash had a couple of big upsets. Tim Duncan advanced pretty far. Karl Malone's teams did well in the tourney. Charles Barkley made the tournament but went one and done. Shaq made it a few times. Melo went pretty far. Rose went to a final. CP3 went to a sweet 16 and Derron Williams made it to the championship game.

Great College player, but was he considered a great NBA player? (Not hating, just saying it was way before my time.)

When Maravich didn't make it, the tourney was a lot smaller and the NIT was still a very solid destination. Back then only one SEC even qualified for NCAA tourney.

Yeah and Reggie Bush never won the Heisman, and Penn State didn't win a single damn game in like 15 years.

Robert Parish - Centenary College of Louisiana; lead USA to gold as captain of Pan Am games; led nation in rebounding...He averaged 21.6 points and 16.9 rebounds per game during his Centenary career.

The Gentlemen have never made "The Dance." In fact, only five schools have gone longer than Centenary without a trip to basketball's title chase (Army, The Citadel, Northwestern, St. Francis-NY and William & Mary).

Memphians agree with this, but the NCAA no longer does

Now that I am done being a dumbass, Cliff Robinson scored almost 20,000 points and never made the NCAAs with UConn. This is a pretty tough thing to come up with.
