Frasier was a straight up spinoff right? Like his character on Frasier is the same person from cheers?
Yup. Same person.
And oddly enough, I've never watched a single episode of Frasier. Just never thought it was something I'd be interested in at the time. I had friends who LOVED it though.
From Wiki, first sentence of the background of the show:
quote:
Psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane (Grammer) returns to his hometown of Seattle, Washington, following the end of his marriage and his life in Boston (as seen in Cheers).
Frasier Crane was in about 500 episodes of TV. That's insane if you think about it.

Wow that is crazy. Kelsey Grammer's had himself a nice little career.
ETA: I only started watching frasier because my parents watched it all the time, I then watched it regularly as I got older. It used to be my go-to show to watch in bed before falling asleep. Not surprisingly though, nobody else my age has seen more than an episode or 2 and all think it's stupid. I just love his and Niles' characters, they both play those roles perfectly.

He's no Detective Munch. Munch has been on something like a dozen TV shows.
