Galette and Wilson are not proven here, and there's a definite need for at least 1 premiere rusher, either through the draft, or a speed rush specialist like Butler for situations. (Don't forget we went hard after Kruger..)

Vilma is undersized, and did not perform well in the 3-4 in Miami. He is there more for leadership, may see a diminished role if we can acquire someone.

Smith is good against the run, which is important for a 3-4 DE, but he is not a lock, contract was just too pricey to completely drop, and the leadership is valuable..

plus no one else in the secondary worth noting.

Corey White showed some promise at the end of last year.. valuable backup if we pick up another corner, assuming Greer/Lewis may take on a nickel role.. (others have talked about him moving to safety yada yada) If we get Nnamdi you have 1. Nnamdi 2. Lewis 3. Greer 4. White 5. Prob..... running out of room there boss. Prob would cost us money to cut, so it won't happen. I think the statement is being made that we are done gambling on corners in the draft after courting so many in FA.
