whatever you buy... make sure the above is met. with that budget, worst thing you could do is buy an underpowered rig



This and do not buy a 2 stroke at any cost. 225-250 2 strokes suck gas. That trip to last island would take at lease 30 gallons maybe more depending on boat and payload. Good luck
