How long beforehand do you have to get in line? Lets say its a Sunday Reds game or a Tuesday night game against the Cards

People line up an hour or two before the game.

Depends how close to the front of the line you want to be. I have sat in the bleachers many times. 2 hours before the game is pretty typical. If you don't really care where you are siting an hour would work.

I'd like to know as well. Will be there the Saturday afternoon Giants game.

Get there about an hour before. Pretty much guaranteed that you'll be in one of the first few rows if that is what you desire

IIRC, gates open 2 hours before game time. When I went I wanted to be in the front row of the left field bleachers, so I got there about 2:30 before game time and lined up on Waveland. I probably didn't need to do that though. And this was in 2005 when the Cubs were a good team, so if you're there when the gates open, I'd be shocked if you didn't get the seats you wanted this year. Unless the Cardinals or White Sox are the opponent.
