Not necessarily, NIT hosting is a bid process... If La. Tech's bid wasn't acceptable, LSU could still host as the lower seed

I agree LSU should be in.

If somebody were to do a "last four in, first four out," for the NIT like they do the NCAA, I'm thinking LSU would be one of the last four in.

83 RPI. Top 85 RPIs get into one of the two big tournaments.

Is there another crappy league playing a championship game today? It's just ACC and SEC and a couple other big boys, right?

I agree, probably last four in deal.

Right, there are 4 games today, of them only Ole Miss Is considered a bubble team. So, no more spots can be taken from LSU

Did I say that? I just said it's a bid system so if LSU's bid is better they can host

Just FYI, the bracket project has Tech as a 5 seed at Charlotte, FWIW.

Real Time just updated and now LSU is 86 in the RPIs.

Yikes.

Still think they are in at the end of the day.

I don't really care one way or the other about Tech. Good for them that yall are having some athletic success. But the bowl scenario HAD to be made fun of

This site thinks LSU is out:

Here's Real Time's rankings:

One things is UConn is in the RPI at 48. So you knock them out of the equation and LSU is No. 85 on the list, right at that cut-off.

Man, this could go either way. I want to look at what happened last year, have just not had a chance. Won't matter soon

I count 4-8 against top 100 teams. Northwestern winning is actually sort of neutral for them. The Demons are one of LSU's four top 100 wins (Alabama, Missouri and Arkansas are the others, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know man. The good thing if it's CBI, they probably get a home game.

Last year LSU got in with an RPI of 90 and a record of 18-15. Auto bids to the NIT are about the same number and LSU has a higher SOS this year than last.

I think they get in as a 5 or 6 imo.
