Saw a thread yesterday about the possibility.
Drudge is now running this as if the decision has been made or is close.
Emmitt Smith has stated the NFL has lost its mind.

It only makes sense. They've been calling for this for some time. A defender can't spear another player, but it rarely, if ever, gets called against an offensive player.

How about we just assume that football is a violent sport and you're assuming the risk of permanent injury if you play it. Sign the paperwork, take the field.
